The
Rockaway Township Fire Department protects over 43 square miles in
northwestern New Jersey. We operate out of 5 fire stations manned by
165 volunteers
trained in
both fire suppression and EMS. The Township is diverse in both it's
geography and demographics with the northern part very rural and the
southern sections
densely
populated and commercialized, each bringing it's own challenges to the way
the Department supplies fire and EMS services to the residents and
visitors.
